01 Client Brief & Spatial Design

Atelier Living believes that each home requires a narrative to reflect the client’s personality and that no two homes are the same. With a holistic approach towards design, Atelier Living sets the tone for each of her projects through consultation.

Client Consultation

A questionnaire will be sent to understand your requirements and what you envision for your home. This will allow Amani to understand your lifestyle, budget, likes/dislikes, style preferences and the intended use of the space. By gaining insight into your vision, Amani can create a space that perfectly reflects your personality and meets your requirements.

Spatial Planning

Atelier Living will also request pictures and current plans of the space you wish to design. Within this stage, three revisions of furniture plans will be provided for you to choose from, as this will set the tone for the concept design stage. It will involve creating a spatial design that considers the space's practicality, including the traffic flow and the purpose of each area.

Look and Feel

Once the brief has been signed off, and your preferred spatial plan has been chosen, Amani will create a ‘Look and Feel’ mood board for each space you wish to design. This will allow Amani to articulate the interior design direction and the proposed narrative that will run throughout the concept design stage.

02 Interior Design

The concept design stage is an exciting phase where your interior design scheme will start to bring your vision to life. This stage is where the initial ideas and creative concepts are developed, allowing you to have an insight into the overall look and feel of the space.

Mood board

A collaborative Pinterest board will be created for your project where you and Amani can drop your ideas for the space. From this, a mood board will be created as a visual tool to help you understand the proposed direction of the project. It will include images of the furniture, lighting, textures & colours that capture the essence of the proposed scheme. A selection of visual scheme options will be presented for you to choose from.

Budget

Alongside each of the items selected in the schemes, costings will be included to allow you to gauge the price of each item. The mood board will also include the total sum for each proposed scheme. This ensures that there is complete transparency on costings, and it will help the client to choose a scheme that is within a feasible budget. Once the scheme has been chosen, invoices will be requested and orders will be placed.

03 Dressing & Styling

Now that the chosen scheme has been signed off, the final stage of interior design is the dressing and styling phase, where the finishing touches are added to bring the project to life. In this stage, Amani will focus on the finer details, honing in on the final touches to provide you with a tailored interior.

The carefully curated items include objects, soft furnishings, rugs, floral arrangements, books and scents. The five scenes play a significant role in Amani’s schemes, and each item is selected to provide a sensory experience to the look, moulded to the touch of the eye.
